Creating something from nothing is never easy. Especially when that something can be anything. Taking an idea from a concept in your head to something you can feeeeel is a journey full of highs and lows. So, as you can imagine, when John and I set out to create a software studio together, our work was cut out for us. As two passionate builders, tinkerers, and makers of the World Wide Web, we’ve talked about starting something together for years. The timing was never right… until it was.

Our story really goes back further than that. John and I have been friends for the better part of a decade. In that time, we’ve both started and ended several jobs and business ventures. Most recently, I’ve had the privilege of running a digital design and development agency called GoodFolks for the last 7 years. It’s a blast, and I’m grateful every day for the crew I get to lead there. John is currently CTO at Air Mail, a a digital magazine he co-founded in 2018. So between the two of us, we’ve stayed busy building things that matter.

However, ByteSize represents something different for both of us. It's about simplicity, about distilling ideas down to their core essence. Unlike the large, multi-month projects we do at GoodFolks, ByteSize is a deliberate exercise in doing less, but doing it exceptionally well. And because we’re bootstrapping this ourselves, we want everything we do to be thoughtful and purposeful.

The first app we're thrilled to introduce is LetsMeet. It’s a less fussy, more human take on scheduling meetings with people. Perfect for when you need help scheduling that call with a new lead or when you want to grab a beer with a buddy. We’re still in closed beta, but we hope to release it to everyone soon. In the meantime, be sure to sign up for the waitlist to be notified when we open things up to the public.
